We offer you a rigorous and systematic method of awareness training that optimally promotes brain rewiring and a balanced way of life. It begins with a deep immersion into our body as the somatic foundation of human existence, from where all other levels of being and experience can then be integrated. More than just learning new things, the focus of this training is to unlearn and relinquish engrained living patterns that distort our view of reality, cause suffering and impede life’s creative fulfilment. We put particular emphasis on taking into account your individually specific strengths, vulnerabilities, limitations and needs.

Beyond all the many phenomena of our subjective experience we investigate, beyond all the words, concepts and stories we tell, beyond all the hard work we put into learning the tools and attitudes that lead to mindfulness, there is nothing more obvious yet elusive, nothing more immediate and powerful than the vast Unknown towards which we learn to orient ourselves. It beckons with a gentle urgency that heals our being when we surrender to its unfathomable, timeless and nameless immensity.

We are wired for empathy and the realization that we are connected to a much larger whole. Neither our body nor our limited individuality defines us. Able to think about the greater social good and act on it, we first bring our passion to heal into our inner world, then into society at large. We promote a paradigm shift in how people and their institutions see their roles in the complex societies in which we live. We foster individual responsibility for a just and kind society that lives in a sustainable relationship with our planet, and also encourages the recognition of our fundamental nature beyond the boundaries of knowledge, space and time.

Our Unique Approach

To join our work in mindfulness is to consider yourself a student of life, an explorer of possibility and an inquirer into your own practice. Our goal is not to just teach mindfulness techniques, but to inspire people to learn to live the mindful life. We do not hold the answers to spiritual, moral or religious questions of any kind, nor do we claim authoritative knowledge of any sort. We do not possess any special brand of wisdom or enlightened knowledge. We are inspired to share our experience in internal education and to contribute to others by teaching the body of principles and insights that have arisen over many years of hard work, setbacks and advances on the meandering path of meaningful lives. This orientation to inspire by example makes our approach to meditation innovative, unique and evolutionary in several ways you can explore further.

Presented with both privileges and challenges in early life, in his late teens Stéphane Treyvaud came to meet through fortunate destiny and unexpected circumstance a Zen master, whose influence was profound. Determined to engage in the journey of inquiry into life’s mysteries, the long and meandering apprenticeship began of learning to unlearn everything that interferes with the most natural unfolding of life. Along the way Stéphane became a psychiatrist before he eventually developed an integrated approach to the art of teaching mindfulness and meditation. Although the search comes to an end like thirst is extinguished with a good glass of water, the journey never ends. The result is a uniquely contemporary, integrative and embodied method of meditation. More
